First days are really exciting especially if you are an incoming freshman. A different enthusiasm and anticipation runs through your body. How come? It's just the start of a new school year on an elevated schooling system. oh come on! we all know it's not JUST a celebration of having the nick "freshie". it's like a new chapter in the story we all call life. Or the much awaited sequel to your "episode 7: attack of the graduates”. Not only that, 1st days are the next best thing to summer vacations. But seriously, having a new, fresh start is really something incredible and overwhelming.
Like any production, spending on resources is a must. It is practical and environmental-friendly to recycle the materials used during the prequel. But of course, it's inevitable not to buy brand new resources. For a brand new start, it has been a habit, more like a tradition, to buy new things for a fresh start. That's the hip phenomenon about first days. You get to go shopping for a new pair of pants, a new set of uniforms, and supplies in mint condition. You even get the chance to buy something maybe unnecessary, but sort of a treat for your first day. I remember my mom bought me a cell phone when I was a freshman in high school and a swatch watch for my junior year. These extra spending are not just about having brand new gadgets, but more of a compliment for the achievements. Consider it the fruits of your labor, yah?
It seems first days is like a walk in the park. Not! The harsh thing about these days is the reality of really starting over. These are the days when your social life takes a dive, being a loner is what you're forced to be. Well, hopefully for a while. Let's look at this on the Brightside. This is the time when your hi-hello-nice-to-meet-you abilities are at its maximum. Meeting new people, having conversations such as "I'm from Quesci, how 'bout you?" are once again a must for you to have a new elite circle of socialites, or at least a simple, normal sociable life. These are the days when your friendster account is in a hyper-active state.
New Years are celebrated with all those bangs and booms; why not give first days such blast? A fresh new start is something to be all excited and enthusiastic about. All that anticipation of the coming of an adventure far momentous than before, sends me off my seat. Ha-ha! Seems I'm getting over (and I mean OVER)-excited.
Here is to a new day comin' up!
